Weverse Shop Global vs US: Currency, Payment, Membership

Quick Answer

Weverse Shop Global vs US comes down to seller rules and membership slots. As of October 24, 2026, Weverse Help lists KRW, USD, JPY, CNY and MXN for the seller Weverse Global but only USD and MXN for Weverse America. One account can hold one membership per country shop.

Weverse Shop is one storefront with several sellers behind it. The Weverse Help center lists three of them, Weverse Global, Weverse Japan and Weverse America, and each seller has its own rules for currency, payment, returns and delivery. Memberships are described separately: Weverse notice 17793 calls the country shops for memberships GLOBAL, JAPAN and USA. Weverse Help does not state which seller runs which membership shop; before you pay, check the currencies and payment methods shown on the checkout page. Your Weverse account works across all of them: Weverse Help states that Weverse and Weverse Shop use the same ID, and your membership information is linked to it.

What is the difference between Weverse Shop Global and Weverse Shop USA?

The difference is the seller, and the seller decides the store rules. Weverse Global and Weverse America are listed in the Weverse Help center as separate sellers, and the footer of that help center names Weverse Company Inc. together with its affiliates Weverse Japan and Weverse America Inc. Weverse Help splits its store policies by seller, so the seller of your order decides the currencies you can pay in, the payment methods offered at checkout, whether you can return the item, and what kind of address it can be sent to. Weverse Help does not say which seller runs the GLOBAL or USA membership shop named in notice 17793; the checkout page shows the payment methods available for your order.

The two shops are not two versions of one checkout. Weverse Help answers each store question, such as "Which payment methods are available?" or "Can I return an item because I changed my mind?", with a separate block for each seller, and the answers differ. The comparison table in the next section collects those blocks in one place, with the source article for every row.

Last verified October 24, 2026. Weverse Help notes that payment methods can change temporarily during system maintenance.

Prices are not in the table on purpose. Weverse does not publish a comparison of product or membership prices between the GLOBAL and USA shops, so the only reliable price is the one on the product page in the shop you are buying from, in the currency that shop supports.

Which currencies and payment methods does each Weverse shop accept?

Weverse Global supports five currencies (Korean won, US dollar, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan and Mexican peso) and Weverse America supports two (US dollar and Mexican peso), according to the Weverse Help currency article checked on October 24, 2026. On Weverse Global you can switch currency yourself: in the app, open Shop at the bottom, then the menu at the top right, then Currency; on the Weverse Shop website the currency setting sits at the top of the page.

Payment methods follow the seller and the currency. For overseas buyers paying in USD on Weverse Global, Weverse Help lists PayPal, Eximbay, WeChat Pay, GrabPay and Mercado Pago among the options, and notes that some methods appear only when you buy from the country where they work. Weverse America lists PayPal (including debit and credit cards registered in PayPal) and Apple Pay, plus OXXO Pay for "Shipped from US" items sent to Mexico. The checkout page always shows the methods available for your order.

The amount on your card statement can differ from the order total. Weverse Help explains that overseas payments can carry an exchange-rate difference and an overseas approval fee charged by the card side, and it points buyers to their card company for the exact figure. Weverse Shop Cash works differently: Weverse Help says Cash is displayed in your chosen currency at a fixed Weverse Shop rate, for example KRW 1,000 shown as USD 1 or MXN 15.

Does Weverse Shop Global ship to the USA, and who pays customs?

Yes, US addresses are covered: the Weverse Help carrier article lists the United States among 13 countries where buyers can choose the carrier at checkout, in a list marked as updated on May 13, 2024. The same article names DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS, Yamato, Sagawa and YTO as overseas carriers, and suggests comparing each carrier's fee and average delivery time before choosing. The other countries on that list are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Vietnam, France, Germany, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

Customs duty and VAT are the buyer's cost in both shops. Weverse Help gives the same text for Weverse Global and Weverse America: duties and VAT may be charged depending on each country's customs policy, and the recipient pays all duties and taxes incurred on delivery. A separate Weverse Help article says duty prepayment is not available for some countries and regions, and that the order form shows whether prepayment applies to your address.

No fixed overseas shipping price is published. Weverse Help says the fee depends on the product type, quantity and destination. For Weverse Global overseas orders the fee is set by destination country and weight, and for Weverse America it is set by product type, weight and destination, with no extra shipping charge after payment. In both shops the exact fee appears in the final payment amount at checkout.

Can a Weverse America order go to a P.O. Box?

Yes, if you pick USPS Ground Advantage. Weverse Help says a Weverse America order can be delivered to a P.O. Box when the USPS Ground Advantage shipping option is selected, while APO, FPO and DPO military and diplomatic addresses cannot be used. The article adds that it applies only to orders made on Weverse America, as checked on October 24, 2026.

Two exceptions are written into the same article. Weverse Mode products cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box or to APO, FPO or DPO addresses at all. If a P.O. Box delivery fails because of the customer, Weverse America offers a refund or a reshipment after deducting the round-trip shipping cost, and a reshipment caused by the customer is charged to the buyer.

Can you return an order from Weverse Shop Global or US?

Not for a change of mind if the order was shipped abroad. Weverse Help says Weverse Global accepts change-of-mind returns within 7 days of receiving the item, with a return shipping fee of KRW 3,000 to 6,000 deducted from the refund, but overseas-shipped orders are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. For Weverse America the rule is shorter: returns because you simply changed your mind are not accepted.

That rule covers change of mind only. Check the product page before paying, because an overseas order cannot be returned for a change of mind once it ships.

Should you buy a Global or US membership on Weverse?

You do not have to choose only one. Since March 20, 2024, one Weverse account can buy the same artist's membership in more than one country shop, with a limit of one membership per shop, according to Weverse notice 17793 posted on February 22, 2024. Before that change, an account could hold an artist's membership from only one country shop. The notice also says the number of country shops open differs by artist, and that the timing of the change could differ by community.

Holding two memberships means two separate validity periods. Weverse notice 17793 says each country-shop membership runs from its own purchase date, and it gives the example of a fan who already holds a GLOBAL membership and then buys a JAPAN one: the account keeps both. The same notice warns that buying a new-concept membership in the same country shop ends the membership you held there, and that memberships bought on different accounts cannot be combined into one account.

Benefits are the same across shops by default, but not guaranteed. Notice 17793 says memberships in every country shop are sold with the same benefits as before, then adds that benefits can differ by community and points buyers to each shop's membership detail page. Weverse Help adds two timing rules worth knowing before you pay: a membership payment can be cancelled within 7 days only if no benefit has been used, and renewal is possible from 60 days before expiry to 30 days after, unless the artist's membership policy says otherwise.

You can see your membership cards in the artist community. Notice 17793 gives the path in the app as the Weverse community, then More, then Membership, and on the web as the community, then Feed, then Membership; cards from different shops sit side by side and you swipe to see each one. To check validity dates, Weverse Help gives a separate app path: More at the bottom, then My Membership.

Which Weverse shop does a concert presale need?

The tour notice decides, not the shop. No Weverse policy page states in general whether a GLOBAL or a USA membership qualifies for presales; check the concert's presale notice for the membership it accepts. Our guide to how a K-pop fan club presale works in Korea shows how those notices word the requirement and how verification works on the ticket site.

Check the Notice Four things on this topic are not settled by any general Weverse page, so look them up for your artist and your purchase:
  1. Which shop a presale accepts. Read the presale notice for the shop name or membership label it accepts, such as GLOBAL or USA, before buying a membership for a tour.
  2. Where Weverse America delivers. Weverse Help does not publish a destination list for Weverse America, so enter your address at checkout and see whether the order can be placed.
  3. Which shop is cheaper. No official price comparison exists between shops; compare the product pages yourself in each shop's currency.
  4. What a membership includes. Benefits can differ by community, so read the membership detail page in the shop you plan to buy from.

A membership used for a presale cannot be refunded if the ticket attempt fails. Weverse Help states that taking part in a concert presale counts as using membership benefits whether or not a ticket was actually bought, so the membership is not refundable under its product details and terms of use. Confirm the accepted membership in the notice first, then buy.
